Freeplay 05

Freeplay 2005 took over all of ACMI on July 15-17, running two lecture / panel streams in their cinema space, workshops and tutorials in the screen pit and games lab, and offering social events in the function space.

Over 250 people attended over the 3 days, with many key sessions filled to capacity.

Keynote speakers were Greg Costikyan, Games Researcher at Nokia and a guest of Film Victoria for the Mobile Content Lunch; Kieron Gillen, video game journalist and writer; and Tom betts (aka Nullpointer), musician and artist.

Freeplay 2005 was supported by the Australian Film Television and Radio School and Multimedia Victoria.
